Welcome to our 20-minute gong bath meditation
We will begin by taking a few moments to adjust and settle into our meditation position. Find a comfortable seated position, with your legs crossed or extend them out in front of you, whichever is more comfortable for your body.
Allow your hands to rest gently in your lap, palms facing upwards. Close your eyes and focus on taking deep breaths through the nose and exhaling slowly through the mouth. Now, become aware of any areas of tension and send yourself love as you relax each part of the body one by one.
Next, bring attention back to your breath and imagine that you are breathing in light from the sky and breathing out darkness from within. Begin connecting with the energy within you, feeling into any sensations or emotions that come up as you practice this meditative exercise. With each inhalation, see if you can expand your awareness beyond the physical realm and into a deeper spiritual connection with yourself and all that is around you.
Now begin to focus on the sound of the gong that we have here today as it begins to reverberate throughout the room. Imagine its vibrations entering through every pore in your skin as it vibrates all around you, penetrating deeply into every cell in your body; allowing for true relaxation and healing from within. The gong has been used for centuries as an effective tool for meditation because of its power to transform energy and enable us to reach higher states of consciousness quickly and easily.
Stay here with these sounds for a few moments longer, becoming aware of how they make you feel inside. Let go of any expectations or ideas about what should happen during this meditation; instead, allow yourself to be present with each sound wave without judgement or attachment. As if each wave were washing away anything negative or unwanted thoughts that may be lingering within us, so we can experience greater clarity moving forward on our spiritual path towards true enlightenment.
Continue now to focus on the breath while also listening intently to the gentle chimes that are playing throughout the room – allowing them to fill up this space with peace, tranquility, warmth, and harmony from within us all. Allow these soothing vibrations to bring about a sense of calmness – releasing any worries or concerns – so we can continue forward in life feeling positive, empowered, and at peace with ourselves once again.
