Joe Rogan Meditation
Joe Rogan Meditation? Really this buff man doing meditative techniques to gain enlightenment. As one of the most popular talking heads in the world, Joe Rogan certainly has a lot going on. But through his meditation practice, he can stay grounded and focused amongst the chaos.
Joe Rogan’s Meditation style involves sitting quietly for 15-20 minutes each day, engaging with mindful breathing and relaxing body scans. He also finds it helpful to write in a diary or journal as part of this routine, which is an excellent way to release any negative thoughts or mental energy. Of course, no journey towards peace of mind is complete without some physical activity, so at least three days per week he enjoys incorporating yoga into his daily practice. All in all, when it comes to cultivating inner harmony and well-being, Joe knows how important it can be to make time for yourself—something we could all learn from!
What Joe Rogan Thinks about Meditation
The only I really firmly believe you only have so much bandwidth in a day andthis is coming from a person who pushestheir bandwidth too hard all the time I think you only have so much in a day andwhen you get to a certain state you windup diminishing a lot and then I think you want to diminishing a lot of theother things that you do like if you ifyou have like seven things cooking inthe background on your phone it’s notgoing to move as fast right Leslieactually does work that where somecomputers but people do that too youhave too many things cooking at the sametime yeah we all do all the time all thetime and then you take 20 minutes of transcendental meditation and take yournervous system and put it on restart andjust let it wash out this thing inhands-free coming out let it wash out 20minutes okaybecause we’re all under that all thetime a hundred percent frazzled nomatter how hard you’re pushing or justcoasting three o’clock in the afternoontwo o’clock in the afternoon fouro’clock in the afternoon that nervoussystem shot right we’re all the same howdo you twenty minutes what do you dotalk me through it you take your nervoussystem and it’s the result of it is youcome out and you’ve rebooted the systemand you can now have a good part of thesecond part of your day do you have atechnique used to use an app do you knowI went to I I went to a transcendentalmeditation teacher whoa and in withoutthe hippie dippie that’s the biggestpart of it it literally makes yourealize just what you said we’re alljust frazzled and running out of steamat a certain point yeah your nervoussystem is shot all that stuff that’shappened just between seven o’clock and3 o’clock whatever would happen you’rethat nervous system has been dealingwith a ton of stimulus all day long thatmeditation gives you a reboot and youcan’t it it’s it’s like a needed thingthat’s better than sleep that you youthat you’re it actually yearns for hmmI’m telling you since I really starteddialing it in and and did it it the bestway I can describe it is that it addsin another four hours to my day whoayeah how so because I would just belimping across the finish line I’d beexhausted I’d be trying to do and withmotivation and I work really hard Iwould push through and get to maybe youknow two hours more of what I needed toaccomplish and you do this effortlesslywithout struggle I’m able to just saillike I did between nine and twelve thatday really yes a hundred percent do youthink by using this practice you’realleviating tension so you’re moreefficient with your energy like whatmakes you that’s part of it but itreally is it really is taking thisnervous system that is dealing with theoutside world all the timemm-hmm and just giving it a realpractical way to shut down flatline andthen come back on the grid yeah yeah andit it like your physical body needs arest your things need to be rebootedyour nervous system is kind of thisthing that operates all the time thatwe’re not really that conscious of we’renot really that aware that how hard it’sworking and this is a way to payattention to it and give it a chance toregenerate that’s interesting and aslong you been doing thisyou know I’m editing it for like sincecollege just out of reading books andthen probably about three years ago myfriend said who always didTranscendental Meditationhe said go just see if it dials you init actually the stuff you are doing theway you talk about meditating it soundsmore laborious it sounds like you’redoing too much work just go talk to thisguy and I did for like three foursessions I went and just talked to thisguy here in LA who’s a transcendentalmeditation teacher and he just explainedit and dialed me in on it and for thelast three four years I’ve been just Ihaven’t missed a dayand three or four years yeah day everyday seven days seven days no cheat dayno cheat day how long no need for cheata it’s the opposite of what you wantfrom a cheat day it’s like 20 minuteswe’re if you can get two in that’s thebest if you can get one in the morningand one in the afternoon then you’relike SupermanWow but if you can get one in I’mtelling you start to finish how long 2020 minutes 20 and you do this every dayevery day every day maybe that makessense man because one of the things thatpeople remark about you is how easygoingyou are like that like people said dudeI love and tom pappas on your podcastit’s so easy going like that you guysgel so well together you flow togetheryeah it’s like you’re you’re tuned intowe just present together we’re just youknow we’re both you know yeah you’rekind of not struggling right and that’swhat it teaches you you just cut this isa big Roaring River yeah and it lets youjust kind of go underneath catch yourbreath and then come back up into ityeah do you feel that way when youexercise do you feel like when you’reexercising you get into like a zone andyou you reset your brain for sure I feelless I feel less depressed when Iexercise yeah like if I’m gonna funk andI’m like no and I go for a run I’m likemy days different yeah it’s weird it’salmost like that funk is trying to holdon to control – it’s weird yeah so itgets tricking your brain yeah do youfeel like today let me just putthese goddamn shoes on and go run yeahyou know you feel so good but themeditation is different the meditationis like the the run will give me energyI won’t feel so shitty I’m like I’m okayyou know I feel good I feel alive andwhatever but the meditation in a verysubtle way five hours later when you’refaced with a stressful situation youdon’t feel as stressed as you normallywouldyeah because it’s just you’re in yournervous system which is very powerfulhas been rebooted is now able to go anddeal with another situation hmm youshould go see him okay
