Universe Meditation: 20 Minute Guided
Welcome to this Universe Meditation, which is to be used in guided practice, Enjoy.
Universe Meditation (20 minutes)
Let us begin by taking a few moments to observe our breath simply. Feel the inhalations and exhalations, paying close attention to how they feel as they move in and out of your body. Notice the sensations that come with each in-breath the coolness that passes through your nostrils, the rise and fall of the chest as oxygen fills your lungs, and with each out-breath, the warmth that moves out from deep within, your body relaxing further with each exhale.
Allow yourself to focus on these breaths for a few moments until you find a sense of ease and stillness within yourself. When you’re ready, we will open our awareness to the Universe around us.
Think about all that is contained within this vast expanse: galaxies filled with stars so distant from our own that they are invisible to our naked eye; innumerable planets orbiting their suns; asteroids, comets, and meteors hovering in between; moons reflecting light upon their host planets; powerful cosmic forces like gravity and electromagnetism holding everything together in perfect harmony.
Now imagine yourself temporarily leaving Earth’s atmosphere, soaring up through space until we reach much greater distances than ever before seen or heard of—so far away that no human has ever been able to witness these places firsthand. As you make this journey, take some time to marvel at all of the extraordinary sights around you: brilliant stars twinkling against an endless black backdrop like diamonds suspended on velvet; star clusters shining magnificently in unison; immense nebulas radiating their glorious colors across millions of miles; quasars illuminating enormous areas of space like beacons guiding travelers home. These are only a few examples of what exists beyond what we can see from Earth.
Finally, think about how insignificant we become when looking at things from such great distances—how small we appear compared to what lies outside our own solar system or even further away. Such thoughts can bring about a sense of awe and appreciation for just how incredibly vast and mysterious the Universe truly is!
Take a moment to let this feeling sink in before slowly moving your awareness back down towards Earth–feeling grateful for the opportunity to witness such breathtaking beauty along the way. When you’re ready, slowly return your attention to your breath once more and prepare for re-entry into physical reality by making any small adjustments necessary for comfort before opening eyes gently if closed previously during meditation practice.
